A NEC Display Solutions Case Study
University of Illinois Springfield, a 5,000‑student, tech-forward public campus, needed a true networked, wireless AV environment for the new University Hall to replace mobile projectors and support interactive learning—while staying within a tight budget. They partnered with NEC Display Solutions (via reseller Fox River Graphics and a SMARTer Kids Foundation grant) to specify installed, networked multimedia projectors and interactive classroom systems for the building.
NEC Display Solutions implemented a G‑standard wireless setup using installed NEC multimedia projectors with PCM100 network cards and interactive whiteboards, equipping 32 classrooms with vivid, remotely manageable displays. The solution lets students broadcast presentations wirelessly, stores whiteboard sessions, and enables IT staff to remotely power and diagnose units—reducing lamp replacements and energy use—while boosting student engagement and the university’s technology reputation.
