Translational Research Institute uses NEC technology to welcome visitors and provide high-tech presentations

Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes, a state-of-the-art research facility on the Florida Hospital campus in Orlando, needed a striking way to welcome visitors, educate the public and potential donors during tours, and support conference-room presentations. After considering a glass mural, the institute worked with integrator Sound Stage, Inc. and chose NEC Display Solutions products — notably 46" X461UNV displays and PA500U projectors — to meet those communication goals.

NEC Display Solutions installed a 5x6 video wall using thirty X461UNV panels plus two PA500U projectors, leveraging built-in TileMatrix™ to avoid costly external processors and enable seamless large-format content. The system supports wireless iPad mirroring for real-time tours and uses DVI-sourced media for daily signage; since installation, TRI reports increased visitor interest and an improved ability to showcase the facility and educate donors and research volunteers.
