Southern Alberta Institute of Technology- Customer Case Study

The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), Canada’s premier institute of advanced technology, launched an e‑Learning initiative—distributing nearly 2,000 student laptops and adding roughly 100 new classrooms—but faced a tight budget and a need to standardize projection technology so instructors would be comfortable in any room. Advised by Apex Audio Visual Services, SAIT selected NEC Display Solutions projectors to power interactive whiteboards and large pull‑down screens across the new spaces.

NEC Display Solutions installed projectors with power zoom, power focus and power lens shift, allowing flexible ceiling installs and portable cart use for both interactive whiteboards and larger screens. The bright, crystal‑clear images let SAIT design classrooms with significant ambient light and, by using Eco‑Mode, extended lamp life and reduced total cost of ownership; SAIT also gained instructor flexibility and industry‑leading service, training and support while standardizing AV across the campus.
