Pictureboy creates a unique place for NEC displays in its photography operation

Pictureboy Creative, a commercial advertising photography studio in Elk Grove Village, IL, was hindered by 21” CRT monitors that produced inconsistent color and were cumbersome to transport for on-location shoots. Seeking portable displays with precise, calibratable color, they evaluated options and selected NEC Display Solutions’ MultiSync 90 Series, specifically the 24” NEC MultiSync LCD2490WUXi.

NEC Display Solutions provided four 24” MultiSync LCD2490WUXi units (three deployed on mobile carts) whose detachable bases, portrait/landscape rotation and set calibration point allowed Pictureboy to calibrate all screens identically. The result was consistent, post‑production‑accurate color across monitors, much easier transport and on-site review during shoots, and a more efficient workflow — Pictureboy now regularly verifies identical calibration and reports markedly improved color fidelity and confidence in final output.
