Case Study: Moravian College achieves an experiential, hands-on Sports Medicine curriculum with NEC Display Solutions

NEC’s Displays Strengthen Pennsylvania College’s Sports Medicine Curriculum

Moravian College needed to create an interactive, hands-on learning environment for a new rehabilitation sciences department and Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center, with high-resolution, large-format displays that were affordable and easy for instructors to use. To meet that challenge the school and integrator Advanced AV selected NEC Display Solutions’ E Series displays (including 70" E705, 80" E805 and 90" E905 models) to deliver clear imaging for diagnostics, video instruction and classroom interactivity.

NEC Display Solutions’ screens—deployed as seven 70" E705, two 80" E805 and three 90" E905 displays (plus additional sizes across labs)—were integrated with cameras and a simplified touchscreen control GUI to capture, display and review hands-on procedures in real time. The result was a 45,000+ sq. ft. experiential learning facility that opened in March 2016, now housing Moravian’s new MS in Athletic Training, hosting St. Luke’s University Health Network and enabling future OT/PT programs, while improving instruction quality, remote teaching and student engagement.
