NEC’s Displays Bring Data to Life in University’s New “Idea Incubator” Space

The University of Washington’s Health Sciences Library needed a centrally located, high-impact space to accelerate health research data analysis and multidisciplinary collaboration—more than a traditional conference room. To meet this requirement the project specified digital signage and displays, and NEC Display Solutions provided NEC X555UNV panels for a 2x3 video wall to support large-scale data visualization.

NEC Display Solutions’ NEC X555UNV displays were installed in a six-panel (2x3) configuration—integrated with flexible inputs and a touch-panel controller—allowing up to six different sources to be routed to any screen. The NEC Display Solutions installation transformed the TRAIL incubator into an immersive presentation space for data visualization, 3-D imaging and collaborative analysis, delivering strong user satisfaction, streamlined researcher workflows, and renewed campus interest in similar video-wall deployments.
