A NEC Display Solutions Case Study
Duval County Public Schools, the 20th largest school district in the U.S., faced aging projectors and inconsistent interactive technologies across classrooms and needed an affordable, district‑wide standard. After a vendor selection process, the district chose NEC Display Solutions’ 55" V552 and 65" V652 displays with touch overlays to replace dim projectors and outdated interactive whiteboard software.
NEC Display Solutions provided the V552/V652 touch displays on mobile media carts, offering native Windows drivers for plug‑and‑play operation, improved resolution, and no calibration issues, enabling flexible blended‑learning stations. The rollout tripled student access to interactive devices—reaching 2,500 NEC displays—and the district plans interactive displays in all core classrooms of its 45 secondary schools for the 2016–2017 school year, with teachers and students reporting positive feedback.
