NEC Touchscreen Displays Enhance Learning and Collaboration at Toronto College

Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology needed to upgrade two group study rooms in its Newnham Campus library that only had whiteboards, a gap with its Digital Learning Strategy to create flexible, technology-enabled collaborative spaces. To meet that need the college partnered with NEC Display Solutions to add interactive touchscreen capability.

NEC Display Solutions installed two 65-inch E651-T interactive touchscreen displays in August 2018, enabling students to connect online, mark up documents with a finger or stylus, and work together in real time. The rooms became highly popular—hundreds of bookings in the first month—and students reported improved collaboration and repeat bookings for group projects, demonstrating a measurable boost in engagement and effective use of Seneca’s collaborative learning spaces.
