NEC Projectors and Digital Signage Energize Lessons in Little Rock School District

Little Rock School District, the largest district in Arkansas serving 24,714 students across 48 schools, needed to modernize more than 2,200 aging classroom projectors that had reached the end of their supported life and were producing dim, flickering, or distorted images. With a 1:1 iPad and laptop initiative under way, the district required bright, reliable displays that supported wireless connectivity and easy content updates; they selected NEC Display Solutions and specified NEC M332XS and M352WS projectors plus NEC 55" V552 and 55" E554 displays.

NEC Display Solutions' equipment—installed via a custom retrofit kit from Piraino Consulting—gave the district sealed, dust-resistant projectors with dual HDMI and wireless capability for Apple TV/Chromecast and student tablets, while 25 new 55" displays provide centralized digital signage. Installers have been deploying roughly 100 projectors per month on a rolling basis, and teachers report the new NEC Display Solutions systems are quiet, bright and dependable, delivering high-quality technology across classrooms, cafeterias, gyms and hallways.
