NEC medical monitors give Henry Ford Health System radiologists clearer insights

Henry Ford Health System, a major nonprofit healthcare provider in Detroit, needed to improve radiological image quality and the precision of case consultations as it moved from grayscale to color digital imaging. To meet that challenge within budget, they worked with NEC Display Solutions, selecting medical and professional NEC displays including the 21.3” MultiSync MD213MC, 27” PA271W and 23” EA231WMi.

NEC Display Solutions supplied 40 MD213MC monitors (installed as 20 paired diagnostic workstations), PA271W units for conference-room presentation and EA231WMi widescreen displays for ePACS, and provided GammaCompMD QA software for DICOM calibration and image stability. The solution delivered repeatable imaging precision from workstations to conference rooms, enabled routine 3D color renderings, improved productivity and clinician access, helped eliminate unread cases, and led radiologists to request color upgrades across HFHS’s 75 workstations.
