NEC LCDs help Seneca College graduat with honors in technology

Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, Canada’s largest college by enrollment (about 17,000 full‑time and 90,000 part‑time/continuing‑education students), needed to replace aging 17" CRTs with LCDs while preserving high image quality and ruggedness for heavy campus use. After evaluating options, the college selected NEC Display Solutions and its 19” NEC MultiSync LCD1970VX to meet resolution, durability, warranty and price requirements.

NEC Display Solutions supplied and helped deploy 1,563 of the 19” NEC MultiSync LCD1970VX monitors during upgrades in 2005–2006, delivering measurable benefits: elimination of CRT flicker and reduced eyestrain, increased desktop space, lower energy use, brighter displays and proven durability in high‑traffic labs. The NEC solution produced positive student and staff feedback while supporting the college’s labs that serve over 100,000 students across multiple campuses.
