NEC Display Solutions LCD monitors help turn the page for Illinois library

Arlington Heights Memorial Library faced incompatible, space-consuming Wyse50 terminals that produced glare, limited functionality and took up deep 14" desk footprints just as the library moved to a Java-based system and needed better patron interaction and more usable workspace. The library selected NEC Display Solutions and purchased eleven 15" NEC MultiSync LCD1530V monitors to conserve space and improve usability.

NEC Display Solutions installed the eleven NEC MultiSync LCD1530V monitors on Ergotron 300 arms, providing swivel/pivot viewing, reduced glare and a much smaller desktop footprint. The new NEC displays serve 25–30 circulation staff, freed up desk space previously occupied by bulky terminals, were immediately noticed by the library’s ~2,200 daily patrons, and improved staff–patron interaction and overall operational efficiency.
