NEC Display Solutions LCD monitors enhance Port Columbus International Airport’s vision

Port Columbus International Airport was struggling with readability and limited design flexibility in its baggage claim area due to aging 25" CRT monitors that suffered from glare, burn‑in and cramped viewing. NEC Display Solutions was engaged to address these issues using its 40" NEC LCD4000 large-format LCD displays.

NEC Display Solutions deployed 26 NEC LCD4000s (configured at bag belts and ticket counters) integrated with Com‑Net’s software platform to show flight information and dynamically sized static or full‑motion ads. The installation delivered glare‑free, high‑resolution displays that improved passenger information access, created a new advertising revenue stream and was projected to recoup installation costs within 36 months.
