A NEC Display Solutions Case Study
Madame Tussauds in New York needed to transform a traditional wax attraction into an immersive “Ghostbusters” multimedia experience and required slim, color‑accurate displays that fit tight set constraints and budget. The museum (working with OpenEye Global and MXW Studios) chose NEC Display Solutions to provide four 32‑inch NEC V323‑2, seven 42‑inch NEC V423, one 46‑inch NEC V463 and an NEC NP‑P502H projector to meet those technical and creative requirements.
NEC Display Solutions’ hardware was integrated into key scenes — three 42‑inch displays as subway car windows, 32‑ and 42‑inch portrait screens in the haunted-mansion hallway, and a projector for a fog‑screen wraith — with color/depth calibration and timely supply support from NEC. The installation delivered a permanent, highly immersive Ghostbusters Experience that attracted strong visitor praise, improved on-screen realism, and garnered favorable feedback from both locals and tourists.
