MGM Resorts International elevates the Las Vegas visitor experience with NEC displays

MGM Resorts International needed a more engaging, flexible way to communicate dining options, entertainment and wayfinding across its Las Vegas properties—information that static posters and printed signs couldn’t deliver amid heavy competition for guests’ attention. To solve this, MGM partnered with NEC Display Solutions to deploy a digital signage network using professional-grade flat-panel LCD displays and interactive touchscreens that fit the properties’ high-end décor.

NEC Display Solutions installed roughly 700 large-format NEC displays (32"–82") across MGM properties, including 20 restaurant touchscreens at six locations, more than 95 interactive wayfinding displays at CityCenter, and a 48‑panel 55" video wall in the MGM Grand lobby. The NEC deployment enabled real-time menu updates, dynamic time-of-day wayfinding, 24/7 content playback and improved guest engagement—reducing print waste and staffing for sign updates while helping guests find and choose venues more easily.
