A NEC Display Solutions Case Study

Preview of the LAPD RACR Division Case Study

Los Angeles Police Department relies on NEC displays in emergency operations

The LAPD RACR Division needed a dependable, high‑resolution display solution for its new Los Angeles Emergency Operations Center to replace projector-based systems and support 24/7 fusion, situational awareness and rapid decision-making. To meet that need, the department worked with integrator Spectrum Video and selected NEC Display Solutions commercial panels, including the 46" X461UN, 46" P461 and 40" MultiSync LCD4020-AVT.

NEC Display Solutions supplied a 7x4 (28‑panel) ultra‑narrow‑bezel video wall built with X461UN units, ceiling‑mounted P461 decision monitors and 40" LCD4020‑AVT team‑pod displays, while Spectrum provided system architecture and a hybrid PixelNet/TileMatrix failover for resiliency. The installation delivered near‑seamless imagery visible throughout the control room, enabled content sharing from team pods to the main wall, eliminated projector maintenance, and improved operational reliability and staff productivity in the command center.
