Jim Jordan Photography, a Los Angeles and New York–based studio known for high-profile celebrity and fashion work, needed more reliable on-screen color fidelity so images would match printed output for demanding clients. Jim Jordan Photography turned to NEC Display Solutions and their 27” NEC MultiSync PA272W after discovering that existing Apple cinema displays didn’t cover enough of the color spectrum and showed motion artifacts during video review.

NEC Display Solutions supplied the PA272W with a GB-R LED backlight, 10-bit AH-IPS panel and ICC-profile support, delivering wider gamut, improved contrast and cleaner video playback. As a result, prints now match the display closely, recalibration frequency has dropped to roughly once a week, motion artifacts disappeared, and the studio benefits from 37% lower power use versus comparable CCFL monitors — outcomes that NEC Display Solutions says have helped Jordan strengthen relationships with his celebrity clientele.
