A NEC Display Solutions Case Study
The Colorado State Emergency Operations Center faced rising demands for real-time situational awareness while working with aging projectors and a few 42-inch plasma screens that delivered poor brightness, obstructed sight lines and lacked signal replication. To modernize its command-and-control capability, the center selected NEC Display Solutions and its X464UN-2 displays to achieve better visibility, redundancy and the ability to show multiple information sources simultaneously.
CCS Presentation Systems installed 45 NEC Display Solutions X464UN-2 monitors in June 2014 to create two video walls (a 12×3 main wall of 36 screens and a 3×3 policy-room wall of 9 screens), integrated with interactive displays and a central routing interface. NEC Display Solutions’ video walls delivered measurable impact: full-room signal replication and redundancy, the ability to display multiple independent content sources on-the-fly, improved brightness for clear viewing across roughly 50–60 workstations, and the capacity to handle a much wider volume of information.
