Charlottesville High School - Customer Case Study

Charlottesville High School partnered with the University of Virginia to create a new STEM-focused "Sigma Lab" aimed at addressing the national shortage of advanced-manufacturing talent. To inspire collaboration and provide a media-rich learning environment, the school selected NEC Display Solutions to supply energy-efficient, commercial-grade video walls (including 46” NEC X464UNV, 46” NEC E464, and 55” NEC E554 panels) and supporting software.

NEC Display Solutions designed, managed and installed two video walls—a 2×2 and a 2×6 array of 46‑inch X464UNV displays with Hiperwall software—and provided onsite training for a turnkey implementation. The low-power, thin-bezel NEC solution can be offset by the school’s solar panels, immediately supported classroom activities (students used the walls on day one to program Arduinos), is used daily by teachers for instruction and announcements, and has helped make the Sigma Lab a dynamic, widely visited hub for STEM learning.
