Chandler Unified School District, a fast‑growing Arizona district serving about 23,000 K–12 students, faced waning student engagement because classrooms relied on a costly distributed video system and dated TV/CRT monitors. To modernize instruction and capture students’ attention, the district turned to NEC Display Solutions and deployed NEC’s VT Series LCD projectors.

NEC Display Solutions supplied 700 VT Series projectors across 27 schools, mounted on media carts (with VCR/DVD and speakers) at a ratio of one cart for every other elementary classroom and one per three high‑school rooms. The projectors delivered bright 100‑inch images, proved cheaper than comparable 32‑inch monitors with converters, and added features like auto‑keystone, freeze/zoom and audio outputs—resulting in better‑organized teachers, replacement of overheads, and noticeably higher student engagement and attentiveness.
