Case Study Musical Instrument Museum treats visitors to an interactive experience with NEC displays

Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix, Arizona needed to bring its global instrument collection to life with synchronized audio and video across roughly 300 exhibits and multiple public spaces. MIM chose NEC Display Solutions as its display vendor to provide commercial‑grade, full‑HD panels (including models such as the 23” MultiSync EA231WMi, 52” LCD5220, 65” MultiSync LCD6520 and later the 70” P701) that could run long museum hours with warranty and rapid exchange support.

NEC Display Solutions deployed hundreds of NEC flat panels throughout galleries, ticketing, meeting rooms and the conservation window—ultimately 423 displays—and delivered remote‑management and upgraded LED options (DisplayPort, Ethernet connectivity and a 15% larger screen surface on the P701). The installation has been highly reliable (no display failures reported nearly two years in), enabled MIM to target under‑visited areas identified by headset metrics by adding video, and provided an upgrade path and vendor support that met the museum’s operational needs.
