Virgin Active Gets 82% Increase in Club Walk-Ins across the UK

Virgin Active worked with Near to increase consumer engagement with the brand and drive more club walk-ins across the UK. Using Near’s SaaS product Allspark, the team set out to identify and reach the right audience with a more targeted, data-led approach.

Near built a two-phase mobile campaign using multiple data sets to define Virgin Active’s audience, target them near health clubs, and then refine the profiles based on learnings such as cinema and theater visitation patterns. The campaign delivered strong results, with walk-ins up 70% in phase one and 82% in phase two, post-campaign footfall up 28% and 32% respectively, Attribution Lift Index reaching 111% and 52%, and average cost per walk-in reduced by 62%.
