How Mintbase Made Minting NFTs Cheaper, Faster, Scalable, and Secure With NEAR

Mintbase is a global NFT platform that helps anyone create and sell digital assets without technical complexity, from art and music to tickets and memberships. As its Ethereum-based stores became increasingly expensive to deploy and limited in how many NFTs could be minted per transaction, Mintbase needed a cheaper, more scalable blockchain foundation to keep NFTs accessible.

Mintbase switched to NEAR Protocol, which provided much lower gas fees, efficient contract execution, and dynamic sharding through Nightshade, along with developer-friendly tools like Rust smart contracts, human-readable addresses, NEAR Drops, and the Rainbow Bridge. With NEAR Protocol, Mintbase made NFT minting cheaper and faster, and the platform has since attracted more than 13,000 sign-ups and hundreds of stores while enabling broader NFT use cases.
