St. John’s School Brings Multimedia Workstations to Every Classroom

St. John’s School in Concepción, Chile is a private K–12 school of 1,300 students that wanted multimedia workspaces in every classroom to better prepare students and ease teachers’ administrative burden. Previously desktops were limited to labs and 12 of 60 classrooms, laptops were not scalable, and unreliable equipment and network issues made it hard for teachers to record attendance, grades or integrate technology into lessons.

Working with partner Neting Multisistemas, the school deployed NComputing L300 access devices and vSpace software, enabling 14–20 Windows workstations per server and installing 90 L300 units to cover 100% of classrooms in three months. The rollout cut software maintenance time by ~80%, reduced hardware costs by about 70% versus traditional PCs, improved network availability and classroom use of technology, and sped up tasks like attendance and grading.
