The use of nCode software for test and CAE in the product development processes of AL-KO

AL-KO, a German manufacturer of premium chassis components and accessories for the automotive, commercial, and leisure sectors, needed a way to accurately capture and secure the fatigue life of its products through virtual and physical testing. The company wanted precise predictions for product life, performance, durability, and warranty while reducing development time and effort, using nCode software for test and CAE analysis.

nCode implemented nCode GlyphWorks and nCode DesignLife to support data analysis, fatigue simulation, and the generation of test rig signals. With nCode, AL-KO identified critical locations more easily, reduced prototypes and physical testing effort, and cut costs and development time; a simple FE-analysis-based design change extended the durability of its 13-inch axle by more than 5 times under the same costs and material conditions.
