Yadkin Bank, a Raleigh-based community bank with $7.1 billion in assets formed through a series of mergers (notably with VantageSouth in 2014 and NewBridge in 2015), faced the common M&A challenge of integrating customer data, disparate systems, processes and lending operations without disrupting business or regulatory compliance. Leadership needed a scalable way to consolidate manual workflows, create consistency across commercial lending and improve visibility while supporting aggressive growth.

Yadkin selected nCino’s cloud-based Bank Operating System on Salesforce as a single source of truth to automate origination and closing, unify data, and reduce IT strain. The platform smoothed post-merger integration, improved transparency and credit consistency, eased exam preparation, and lowered costs — including a $1 million reduction in support costs — while driving loan growth and operational efficiency. Key metrics improved materially (efficiency ratio fell from 81.98% to 56.76% and ROA rose from 0.48% to 1.09%), and staff productivity and cost savings followed.
