Univest Bank and Trust Co., a $2.8 billion community bank headquartered in Souderton, PA and founded in 1876, developed Univest Prime in 2014 to bundle small-business services. As fintech non-bank lenders gained ground with faster, automated underwriting, Univest faced slow, manual loan processes and lacked a digital delivery channel—so it needed an end-to-end, mobile-enabled system to cut cycle times, reduce costs and maintain loan quality.

Univest implemented nCino’s cloud-based Bank Operating System (on Salesforce) to digitize loan origination, integrate third-party credit tools, enable mobile applications and automate workflows. After going live in early 2015, Univest achieved approvals in under 10 minutes (approaching seven), a 92% reduction in servicing costs, approval rates above 80%, paperless files, better monitoring and reporting, and a scalable platform for future growth.
