SunTrust, a $205 billion Atlanta-based bank and one of the nation’s largest financial institutions, faced a pressing digital and operational challenge: customers and commercial clients demanded faster decisions and more convenient, transparent experiences, but SunTrust’s legacy loan origination systems were fragmented, not integrated with its Salesforce CRM, and required duplicate data entry and slow, sequential processes.

To address this, SunTrust implemented the nCino Bank Operating System (built on the Force.com platform) integrated with Salesforce, with Accenture as systems integrator, completing deployment in under 18 months. The unified platform eliminated duplicate data entry, enabled concurrent collaboration across sales, credit and operations, improved transparency and mobile access, increased speed to close, and created a flexible foundation the bank can expand into other lines of business.
