Lone Star National Bank - Customer Case Study

Lone Star National Bank, founded in 1983 in Pharr, TX, has grown into a $2.1 billion, 600-employee community bank with 33 locations and a reputation for adopting new technologies. By 2011 its commercial lending process—largely manual, paper-based, and spread across multiple locations—was losing track of loan stages, accountability, and required documents, and the bank needed a scalable, secure platform that could grow into an enterprise operating system.

LSNB selected nCino’s Bank Operating System and implemented it from April to August 2012. The solution delivered automated commercial origination workflows, electronic document management, real-time reporting (loan stage, days in process, policy and document exceptions, collateral and covenant tracking, flood alerts) and customizable dashboards. As a result, the bank standardized approval processes, reduced policy exceptions and regulatory preparation time, increased transparency and efficiency for lenders, and gained a flexible platform to support continued commercial growth and other business lines.
