A nCino Case Study
Corning Credit Union (CCU) is a $1.3 billion credit union based in Corning, NY, serving more than 101,000 members across 18 branches in three states and managing a roughly $125M commercial loan portfolio. As its business services program grew, CCU struggled with operational inefficiencies — four systems of record, unclear responsibilities, excessive rekeying (an address was entered up to 15 times and a member name 25 times per loan), poor reporting visibility, a three‑month imaging backlog, and heavy reliance on email and meetings to coordinate work.
To address this, CCU implemented the cloud-based nCino Bank Operating System (go‑live May 2016) to consolidate member and loan data, automate tasks, and improve reporting and document management. The result: data rekeying fell by about 80% (to roughly three entries per field), post‑closing imaging and indexing now average one business day, internal emails and meetings have been reduced, capacity and turnaround improved, and staff report better service to members and higher job satisfaction.
