International Technology Organization partnered with NCC Group to assess cyber risk during a $7.5 billion M&A transaction. The customer needed to understand the target company’s cyber resilience and determine whether it was inheriting any hidden breaches, with concerns spanning global privacy compliance, software security defects, and the resilience of a service used by 31 million users.

NCC Group delivered a full cyber due diligence engagement, including privacy legislation compliance assessment, risk management and control gap analysis, technical vulnerability review, and cyber defense operations, plus a large-scale threat hunt across terabytes of data. NCC Group identified multiple issues that led to contractual terms being tied to their remediation, briefed internal and external counsel and deal executives, and was subsequently retained by both parties.
