Manx Telecom, a leading communications provider on the Isle of Man, needed independent assurance that its DDoS mitigation strategy would work as expected after investing in new protection for its corporate and customer infrastructure. After suspicions of earlier DDoS activity and with legacy hardware limiting analysis, the company turned to NCC Group and its DDoS Assured testing services to validate readiness against real-world attack scenarios.

NCC Group tested Manx Telecom’s mitigation system in an isolated environment using simulated DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS flooding attacks, identified configuration weaknesses, and supported remediation before retesting. The attacks were successfully mitigated, and Manx Telecom gained independent test and validation results, improved its DDoS defenses, and deployed equipment better able to detect and mitigate application-layer attacks.
