Leading FTSE 100 Company engaged NCC Group after a large-scale security incident caused by advanced attackers exposed gaps in its IT security resources and ability to keep pace with growing cyber threats. The company needed help containing the breach while maintaining business-as-usual operations across a complex environment.

NCC Group’s Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) provided DFIR and threat hunting across hosts, logs, and networks, with senior advisors and a Security Improvement and Remediation (SIR) team helping coordinate with the board and drive prioritized remediation. NCC Group removed the attackers, identified and addressed key vulnerabilities, and improved the organization’s security posture; the SIR work accounted for about a third of NCC Group’s effort and laid the groundwork for longer-term monitoring through MDR.
