Heathrow Express embrace a cloud-first strategy with Escrow as a Service

Heathrow Express, the private rail operator linking London Heathrow and Paddington and serving an operator that has carried over 110 million passengers since 1998, invested in a cloud-hosted ticketing app to let customers buy mobile tickets. Concerned about availability, supplier failure and cyber risk with their AWS-hosted application, Heathrow Express turned to NCC Group for protection and assurance, engaging NCC Group’s Escrow as a Service (EaaS) solution.

NCC Group implemented an EaaS Replicate Agreement and an EaaS Replicate Verification, creating a separately hosted, mirrored copy of Heathrow Express’s AWS environment and delivering 24/7 monitoring and threat remediation via its Security Operations Centre. As a result, NCC Group can grant legal access to the replicated AWS resources if a supplier release is triggered, giving Heathrow Express verified, tested business-continuity capability, reduced operational risk and the confidence to continue evolving on the AWS platform.
