Global Financial Service Organization engaged NCC Group to help test and strengthen its DDoS mitigation capabilities in a live but controlled environment. The customer wanted to review and improve its mitigation service rules, as well as confirm that internal teams and external providers could respond effectively together during an incident.

NCC Group delivered a simulated DDoS Application Layer test over a 3.5-hour window, using 2,000 bots to generate around 800,000 requests per second. The exercise helped the organization tune its mitigation settings, validate playbooks and SLAs, and implement additional measures across the board, giving it greater confidence that its defenses and response processes would hold up in a real attack.
