Case Study: First Ukrainian International Bank achieves software resilience and business continuity with NCC Group

A NCC Group Case Study

Preview of the First Ukrainian International Bank Case Study

Assuring Software Resilience in the Banking sector

First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB), one of the top ten banks in Ukraine, partnered with Lime Systems to deploy the SCROOGE core banking system and needed assurance that this business‑critical application would remain available long term given Lime Systems holds the source code/IPR. To address that risk FUIB engaged NCC Group as a third‑party software resilience specialist to assess options and define a continuity strategy.

NCC Group implemented a single‑licensee Software Escrow agreement and performed an Entry Level Verification, observing and documenting the complete SCROOGE build and producing a comprehensive, time‑stamped report and build handbook while ensuring regular updates to the escrowed source code. As a result, NCC Group enabled FUIB to rapidly request and rebuild the application if required, minimising disruption and cost, protecting Lime Systems’ IPR, and providing both organisations with independent, auditable assurance and greater confidence in ongoing software resilience.
