Case Study: International Bank achieves unified global security visibility and a prioritized cybersecurity roadmap with NCC Group

A NCC Group Case Study

Preview of the International Bank Case Study

An international bank seeks a single plane of glass view

International Bank engaged NCC Group to kick-start a global security improvement program and to gain a single “single pane of glass” view across its multinational operations. Facing a tight six‑week timeline, high operational independence across locations, limited process standardization, and multiple local languages, the bank needed a rapid, standardized assessment to prioritize security work before going public.

NCC Group delivered Cyber Security Reviews (CSR) based on the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), standing up a centrally managed but locally staffed team to perform business‑focused threat modeling, maturity‑based controls assessments, and a prioritized roadmap. The assessment found a global NIST Implementation Tier score of 2.50 versus the bank’s 3.50 target, revealed significant regional variances (strong Recovery in the Americas; stronger Detect capabilities in Europe/Asia; weakest scores in Australia), and produced Board‑level recommendations that drove localized prioritization and measurable improvements in the bank’s global security improvement plan.
