A transportation company sets a goal to go beyond industry standards

Leading Transportation Company, led by a newly appointed CISO and a nascent Information Security team, needed to strengthen its cloud-based environment and prepare for a public listing while benchmarking its security against leading SaaS firms. To address these challenges the organization engaged NCC Group to conduct a Cyber Security Review (CSR) to evaluate posture, identify gaps, and present findings to the Board of Directors.

NCC Group performed business-focused threat modeling and a NIST CSF-driven controls maturity assessment, delivered a Board-level report with prioritized recommendations, and established follow-ups for acquisitions and annual progress tracking. As a result of implementing NCC Group’s recommendations the company’s maturity score rose from 1.26 to 2.17 (against a top SaaS benchmark of 3.53), the Board approved funding for security initiatives, and ongoing reassessments were put in place to sustain improvements.
