A Navisite Case Study
Xtime, a Cox Automotive subsidiary that runs the Xtime Spectrum retention platform used by more than 7,500 dealers and 29 automakers, faced a company-wide mandate to move its on-premises Oracle OLTP system to AWS. After months of preparing and running Real Application Testing (RAT) on AWS, persistent test failures stalled the migration and incurred significant costs, prompting Xtime to engage Navisite for outside expertise.
Navisite quickly identified the root cause, enabling RAT on AWS within days and helping complete the Oracle-to-AWS migration in December 2019 while also providing architecture guidance, pre-migration rehearsals, and cutover troubleshooting. The move made Xtime the first Cox subsidiary fully on AWS, saved over $250,000 annually in data center costs, and delivered a right-sized, scalable environment that improved responsiveness during the COVID-19 pandemic.
