Provider of Advanced IT Operations for the Energy Sector Migrates Flagship Meter Data Processing Product to AWS Cloud with the Help of Navisite

Embriq, a Nordic provider of industrial IoT, software and IT operations for the energy sector, decided to shift its flagship meter-data product, Quant Core, from a legacy Oracle/Java stack to a native SaaS architecture on AWS. The move required specialized Oracle-to-AWS migration expertise and careful planning to handle large volumes of meter data and ensure a smooth transition for customers.

Navisite partnered with Embriq under the AWS Migration Acceleration Program to assess and modernize the architecture, migrate data (using AWS Snowcone to overcome bandwidth limits) and refactor the database to Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL. The migration delivered cost savings, unprecedented scalability for advanced metering, faster innovation via cloud-native DevOps, and a roadmap to onboard ~50 more customers with ongoing cloud optimization and managed-services support.
