The firm was hindered by an inconsistent, slow and hard-to-manage Citrix XenDesktop environment and needed enterprise-grade desktop security to meet strict client compliance requirements, all while ensuring a seamless migration with no downtime for its distributed workforce.

Navisite migrated Johnson Lambert to a secure VPC running Amazon WorkSpaces, implementing encryption at rest and in transit, endpoint protection, SSO and two-factor authentication, and redundant Active Directory with AD Connector. Shared files run on Windows Server 2016 on EC2 and users can access secure WorkSpaces from Chromebooks, PCs and Zero Clients. The result is robust, compliant security, simplified management with a few “Golden Images,” automatic client updates, no OS patching for Zero Clients, and new access to AWS analytics, machine learning and big-data services.
