Case Study: Badger Sport achieves cost-effective cloud modernization and near-zero downtime disaster recovery with Navisite

A Navisite Case Study

Preview of the Badger Sport Case Study

Leveraging the Cloud to Replace Aging Infrastructure and Build a DR Plan, Makes for a Winning Combination

Badger Sportswear, a leading maker of team uniforms, was running a complex, aging on‑premises environment of more than 100 servers that supported Infor M3 ERP, FTP/artwork systems, warehouse management and security. Replacing six‑year‑old hardware would be costly and risky, and the company also needed to upgrade M3 and put a robust disaster recovery plan in place with fast RPOs/RTOs.

Navisite delivered a VMware NCD IaaS platform plus Zerto replication to replicate Badger’s servers into Navisite datacenters. Using NCD templates sped VM and network provisioning, let the team test the ERP upgrade without touching production, and enabled rapid failover with near‑zero downtime. The outcome was a cost‑effective move off aging hardware (avoiding a planned storage upgrade), faster Office 365 email migration, improved developer and warehouse productivity, and scalable, reliable disaster recovery.
