Gregory Technologies, a managed IT services provider, faced the challenge of protecting a diverse client base that had recently invested in physical hardware and could not move entirely to the cloud. The company needed a dependable, cost-effective disaster recovery (DR) approach and stronger email security that would work across mixed on-premises and cloud infrastructures while letting Gregory remain the single point of contact for clients.

Using Navisite’s Self-Service NaviCloud IaaS as a hybrid “warm” DR site and Navisite Managed Office 365 with Proofpoint security, Gregory replicated client data to the cloud, enabled rapid failover (about three hours to power up), and migrated email to a managed, threat-filtered service. The result was significant cost savings versus a full hot-site model, improved email protection, easier compliance for regulated industries, a simple client portal, and a scalable, pay-as-you-use platform that supports future growth.
