How we developed and implemented a navigation system in museums
Moscow Kremlin Museums wanted to modernize the visitor experience and make its exhibitions more interactive for a younger, digital audience. To do this, the museums worked with Navigine, using its indoor positioning and navigation technology as part of a mobile museum guide.
Navigine helped implement a mobile app with indoor navigation, route suggestions, and automatic audio playback for nearby exhibits, powered by up to 120 BLE beacons installed throughout the museum spaces. The solution was tailored to the museum environment and integrated with the museum’s content database, enabling staff to update information easily; it also achieved positioning accuracy of up to 1 meter and is now available in English and Russian on the App Store and Google Play.
