Case Study: Leading Railway Stations digitize 30 stations with Navigine indoor navigation

A Navigine Case Study

Preview of the Leading Railway Stations Case Study

Digital stations how did we digitize 30 railway stations in 2 years?

Leading Railway Stations, one of the largest railway operators in a European country, needed a way to improve passenger experience across its busy transport hubs. The challenge was to digitize railway stations with an indoor navigation and mobile services solution that could help travelers find platforms, facilities, tickets, and other station information more easily. Navigine provided the technology behind the project, including a mobile navigation app and BLE-beacon-based positioning.

Navigine implemented the solution in 9 major railway stations in the first year and expanded it to 20 more in the second year, bringing the total to 30 digitized stations over two years. The app helped passengers, including international travelers during the 2018 World Football Championship, reduce wayfinding time and access real-time station guidance, while also creating new opportunities for station operators through traffic analysis and tenant messaging.
