A NAVEX Case Study
Soneva, a sustainable luxury resort group with properties in the Maldives and Thailand and roughly 1,000 employees, needed a way to ensure remote hosts—especially female staff—could raise sensitive concerns without fear of exposure. Management learned some hosts were uncomfortable using direct lines of communication and wanted a confidential, accessible reporting option that would protect staff and preserve the company’s open culture.
Soneva deployed NAVEX Global’s EthicsPoint incident-management system, customized and translated into Thai, to provide secure, anonymous 24/7 reporting and case tracking, backed by visible awareness campaigns and leadership endorsement. The platform increased trust and safety among hosts, supported Soneva’s efforts to grow female participation (now 18% of staff in a market where only 4% of women work), and gave leadership a reliable channel for early issue detection and resolution.
