Sanford Health Structures its Policy Management

Sanford Health, a large rural nonprofit healthcare system with 43 hospitals, nearly 250 clinics and 27,000 employees, faced fragmented policy management: each hospital used different systems, smaller clinics relied on paper or scattered electronic files, and leadership could not centrally audit, update or ensure staff were following the latest guidelines—creating inefficiency, confusion and regulatory risk.

Working with NAVEX to implement PolicyTech, Sanford centralized its policy library (migrating 27,000 documents), standardized review and approval workflows, and added dashboard reporting.
