Auburn University, a large higher-education institution with over 10,000 employees, faced an ineffective internally run hotline that discouraged reporting of suspected financial, HR and compliance issues. After an external audit recommended outsourcing to ensure anonymity and build employee confidence, the university selected NAVEX to provide a third‑party reporting solution.
NAVEX implemented a customized EthicsPoint Incident Management system that routes reports to the appropriate campus office, enables online anonymous submissions and supports two‑way requests for more information. The program increased employee confidence, delivered more accurate and timely intelligence, improved visibility into potential risk areas, and set the stage for a more integrated governance, risk and compliance approach.
