East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, through its subsidiary 2gether Support Solutions, sought to improve the efficiency of its legacy system for allocating portering tasks, which relied on a helpdesk. They partnered with Navenio to implement its Intelligent Workforce Solution (IWS) Portering module to enhance service delivery, reduce helpdesk calls, and provide live ETAs.
Navenio implemented its indoor-location technology using a smartphone-based system, following a three-stage process of discovery, set-up, and onboarding. The solution delivered significant results for the Trust, including a 26% increase in tasks completed and a 29% faster response time. The efficiencies also freed up approximately 200 hours of ward staff time per week. Navenio's data and insights further identified areas for improvement in other hospital departments.
