Streamlining the candidate verification process

CandidateVerification.org is a 501(c)(3) that provides free background checks and resume verification for U.S. political candidates. They were using a NationBuilder site to register candidates but the verification workflow was manual: admins had to forward submissions to TalentWise, candidates received separate emails and reports that had to be uploaded to Scribd and linked back, creating duplicated costs, long delays, and a heavy administrative burden.

To fix this, SocialBenchers built an automated workflow on NationBuilder with a new web interface, external database, API/webhook integration, and an embeddable verification widget (PHP, jQuery, HTML/CSS). NationBuilder now drives automated enrollment, status updates, report storage, and self-service widget generation—eliminating multiple manual handoffs, speeding up verification and publication, reducing administrative labor, and improving candidate experience for CandidateVerification.org.
